Day 288: Chinese black magic

Tuesday, 15 October, 2013

There is something about my flesh that rings the dinner bell for the swarms of mosquitos that have been awakened by the warmer weather. I honestly don’t know what Westerners do about it, but this stuff is amazing. The itchiness, swelling and irritation freezes right over. I wouldn’t know what to call it in English because the literal translation is rather absurd; but phonetically, 白花油 is “pak fah yeow”, which is the sound you might make if you’ve never used it before.
