Some friends and colleagues have mentioned that I should tell the story behind some of my photos – how I took them, where, what the challenges were and so on. I don’t know that my photos are so impressive that they can’t be figured out, and there’s a part of me that believes that a photo should be able to speak for itself and evoke a personal response on its own.

That said, the moments I’ve spent capturing these photos have been among my most cherished creatively. I like to believe that I can remember every great adventure I’ve had, but the truth is I don’t anymore, so these entries are as much for me as they are for anyone who thinks there might be something interesting to read in my process.
