Here are a couple of simple rules for a Wing Chun practitioner to survive against a BJJ practitioner:
- Learn to recognise a BJJ guard position.
- Do not walk into it.
I know it probably sounds like commonsense to anyone who watches MMA. Those who don’t have to learn it the hard way as my opponent did: he tapped out after about 20 seconds, even though I’m just a crummy white belt and he easily has around 15kg on me.
