Day 50: Unwilling

Day 50: Unwilling

“I can’t be photographed smiling with my teeth.”

“I’m wearing the wrong dress, so you can’t photograph anything from the chest down.”

“I’m not always going to be pregnant, you know. Make me thin.”

“You have to fix my face. You can fix my face, right?”

“I already have a great photo that a friend took five years ago. I don’t think you can do better.”

“A dentist screwed up my teeth years ago, so you have to fix my teeth.”

“I only take photos where I’m looking up at the camera. You’re too short.”

30 people. Two two-minute sessions each. Between the 10 seconds spent actually shooting each person and the remainder of the time being spent switching on my comedy routine and earning their trust, I think I’ve heard every excuse under the sun for not wanting to have a photo taken.
