The power brick on my blessedly pre-Touch Bar MacBook Pro somehow killed itself, so I took it to the local Genius Bar in case there was anything else wrong with it.
“Nope!” they declared, “And here’s a new power brick, free of charge.”
“Yes, it’s covered under consumer law.”
Note the carefully rehearsed choice of words: they would never so casually admit to acceding to another authority.
