I’m listening to Yassmin Abdel-Magied’s de l’escalier moment – her late-in-coming parting shot before moving to London – with Beverly Wang on the podcast, It’s Not a Race.
Reflecting on her infamous Anzac Day post, she is everything she says she is: young, naive, and egregiously unprepared.
But I don’t think she realises the media only saw her as a shiny new object to wave to the masses. They used her.
If she ever comes back, I hope she learns that preaching to the converted is not an effective form of advocacy.
