It’s been several months since I last set foot on Darling Harbour due to all the construction work, but the promise of K-pop and delicious Korean food at the Korean Festival was enough to lure us out.
I shouldn’t have bothered: there are no trees in the area. None. And the food? Mostly unremarkable deep-fried market food from restaurants in the surrounding locale. I’d suggest half of it isn’t even Korean. And what’s the deal with the Hepatitis NSW stall? Is hepatitis a problem among Koreans?
Anyway, there is no way I’m queueing under the sun for an hour for that: I have a creamy Asian complexion to maintain.
