I don’t fancy drones a whole lot for all the ethical and regulatory issues they attract, but the design and engineering employed to keep their cameras steady is enormously appealing to me. Enter the DJI OSMO Mobile – a gimbal on a stick – which does the work of a rail, a dolly and a crane for a fraction of the price. It also makes me look like an atomic super-nerd when I answer the phone.
Anyway, here’s some random footage of me putting the device through its paces.
