For every person who can justify the rape and murder of refugees because they are all potential terrorists, there is a person who would take that risk and welcome them into our country.
For every person who refuses to see the beauty of religion, there is a person who would purposely exclude anyone who does not share their spiritual beliefs from their lives.
Part of me is waiting for someone in charge (a leader, someone wise and profound, a grown-up maybe) to step in and tell everyone to “End this”. Figure it out.
But no one wants to hear that message.
In a world where compromise is conflated with failure, tolerance will surely die.
And yet we all still live with each other… at least that’s what I tell myself.
About today’s photo: a very academic exploration of duality; light, dark, and everything in between.
