Today’s self-portrait was supposed to be a novel experiment with lighting and a neutral density filter. It ended up becoming a beautiful rediscovery of an old lens I haven’t used in years.
It’s true what they say about lenses – that it’s not about pixel-peeping and edge-to-edge clarity, but the nuance and character in how it reacts to light.
A pang of guilt hits me for not having tried this before.
