I’ve loved photo mosaics since I first saw them in the mid-to-late 90s – I’m not sure why I waited until now to make my first attempt at one, featuring all of my recent Cookie Safari adventures.
It turns out somebody trademarked the phrase ‘photomosaic’ and even patented the process, but no one has ever been taken to court because – as even I can tell you – there are at least a dozen different ways to produce the same effect (I *may* have chosen the longest possible method because this took me all night and I did no research).
…all of which reminds me of one of the first rules of intellectual property law: you can’t protect an idea. Not unless you’re, like, Coca Cola or Colonel Sanders and you’ve got a steel vault to protect your secret blend of herbs and spices…
