One day, when you’ve grown out of Wonder Woman and realised that the world’s problems can’t be solved with your fists, I hope your search for a role model eventually finds its way to this woman, Margaret Cunneen.
She is one of Australia’s most formidable lawyers, a Crown Prosecutor who put many of the country’s most notorious criminals behind bars for a long time, including Bilal Skaf and Robert ‘Dolly’ Dunn.
I don’t have any expectation that you’ll choose a career in law, but she is the kind of person I idolised back when I was in law school.
Maybe one day I’ll tell you how I came to meet her.
