“There is no practical use for a camera to shoot faster than 1/4000 of a second,” declared some PR guy at a camera launch, deriding anyone who dared to disagree. I was completely dumbstruck by the wanton stupidity of the statement.
What I should’ve said was “f/1.4 in broad daylight, jackass”.
Of course, I’m several months late with that comeback.
